Pet memorial rings with ashes or fur

A channel is machined into the band, the material goes into that channel, and the inlay is sealed under Ring Armor. That is what makes a fur ring something you can wear every day rather than keep in a drawer. Ashes, fur, whiskers, hoof, feather or collar all work, and you do not need all of them.

Dog ashes rings

Wider bands hold more, so a 6mm or 8mm ring shows considerably more of the inlay than a 4mm. Dog ashes are pale grey, which is why most people add something alongside them. Crushed birthstone, colored enamel behind the inlay, or a second channel of fur are the usual choices.

Cat memorial rings

Narrower bands from 2mm suit cat memorial rings, and whiskers work particularly well at that width because they read as fine pale lines rather than getting lost. Three or four whiskers is the usual amount.

Pet memorial rings with fur

Fur is the most requested material we work with, and it needs no ashes at all. A handful is plenty. If you have fur from two pets, or two colors from one, send each in its own labeled container and we will arrange them however you would like. Side by side, divided by a metal pinstripe, or blended into a single inlay.

Widths, metals and sizing

Titanium, tungsten, black ceramic, black zirconium, Damascus, gold, platinum and sterling silver, from 2mm to 10mm. There is no metal we cannot set an inlay into. Every ring includes our free two-step sizing program. We take an estimated size first, then send custom sizers made to the actual width of your finished ring, which is what makes them accurate. Wear them through a normal week before confirming.

How long it takes and what it costs

About 20 business days once we have your materials and your confirmed size. There is no charge for setting the material and no customization fee. Every ring carries a lifetime craftsmanship warranty, and if the Ring Armor is ever damaged we repair it free for the life of the piece.

How pet memorial jewelry is made covers how much of each material we need and how to send it.

Pet Memorial Rings FAQs

How much fur do you need for a memorial ring?

A handful. That is more than we will use, and whatever is left comes back to you in the container you sent it in. If you have less than that, send what you have. We can put a layer of colored enamel behind the ashes so no bare metal shows, or mix in crushed birthstone or mica powder.

Can one ring hold two pets?

Yes. Send each pet's material in its own labeled container inside the same box and tell us where you would like each one to sit. Side by side, divided by a metal pinstripe, or blended together are all common.

Will a pet ashes ring handle everyday wear?

Yes. The inlay is sealed under Ring Armor, a water-resistant protective coating that guards against knocks and scratches. Showers, handwashing and rain are all fine. Just take it off before a long soak or a swim, because fingers change shape in cold water and rings could slip off without you noticing. You can send the ring back any time for us to repair the coating at no cost, and we'll refinish it to make it look like new while it's here.

What if the ring does not fit?

Our free, two-step sizing program gets it right. We send sizers that match the width of your finished ring. Wear each one as long as you like and go about your day, you'll get a sense for how it'll actually feel. If the ring comes out wrong against the size you confirmed with those sizers, we remake it at no cost.

Can I use a ring design that is not listed as a pet memorial ring?

Yes. Any ring on our site with an inlay channel can hold your pet's ashes or fur, including a wood ring, a meteorite band, or even a wedding band. Find the design you like and use the customize button on it, which is close to the add to cart button.
