Whether you’re looking for a music-inspired wedding band, or just a stylish way to celebrate your passion for art, we have many options for you to mix and match to create the perfect ring for a musician! The most iconic of our music-themed ring designs would be our guitar string ring, which already has so much potential on its own. We offer guitar or bass guitar strings, and also cello or violin strings, and all of which look great in a wood ring. A vinyl record ring is another great way to wear your love for music, and the black of a vinyl record can go well with any other material.

The options really open up when you consider that certain types of woods are commonly used to make instruments. Koa, maple, mahogany, ebony, and cocobolo wood are all common to see in guitars, so they make for a great choice in a guitar-themed ring. For a drum-themed ring, oak, birch, maple, mahogany, and cherry wood are common woods used in drums.

Customization Options

Customizing your musical ring doesn’t have to be limited to a text engraving or image engraving. We have many materials in-house for you to choose from to make your own custom music-themed wedding band. If you see a design you like, and you’d like to change the metal, wood, or even add any other material, just click “Customize This Item” in the listing. Everyone has their own personal relationship with music, be it a fond memory that a certain song takes you back to, or an artist that reminds you of a certain time in your life. Let’s work together to put the essence of that relationship into your custom ring.

Are the guitar strings and vinyl records used in the rings real?

Yes, every ring features authentic guitar strings or genuine vinyl records carefully inlaid by hand.

Can I send in my own guitar string or vinyl record to use in a ring?

Absolutely! If your guitar string has a gauge of 0.045-0.056, we should be able to use it in your ring. On this form page, click “Send an Item to JBJ for Custom Work”, and we’ll send you detailed instructions on how to send your specific item, whether it’s a guitar string, vinyl record, a piece of wood, or something else. We’ll assess the item before we’ll let you know if it can be used, and then with your approval, we’ll start putting it into your custom jewelry design! Of course, we’ll send back whatever we don’t use in the ring. (Note: For any type of string, please send us the whole, intact string.)

What metals are available for these rings

Our musician rings can be crafted in a variety of metals, including titanium, tungsten, and precious metals such as white, rose, or yellow gold. If you don’t see the option, that doesn’t mean it’s not available! Click “Customize This Item” in the listing and let us know what metal you’d like us to use in your custom ring for musicians. Can these rings be customized further?

Yes, we offer options like personalized engravings, but you can go even further by customizing the materials in a design by simply clicking “Customize This Item” in any listing. You’ll work with one of our designers to create a completely custom piece.

Are these rings suitable for daily wear?

Definitely! Our rings are built with durable materials designed to stand up to everyday life while showcasing your love of music. All of our wood rings are coated with our Ring Armor waterproofing, which protects the wood from water, moisture, dents, and scratches. If it’s ever damaged, we offer a lifetime service guarantee, meaning you can send your ring back and we’ll fix the coating at no cost.
