Can I provide my own materials for my ring?

Yes, we specialize in working with customer provided materials. Whether it’s an heirloom stone, a sentimental piece of wood, flowers from your garden, or really almost anything, we’d happily put it into your custom jewelry design! We invite you to make your handmade men's ring truly personal and meaningful. Simply fill out the “Send an Item to JBJ for Custom Work” form , and we’ll send you instructions for shipping your materials once we process your submission. We treat whatever you send in with extreme care, and we will let you know if we can use it before starting work on your custom men's engagement ring. We always return any unused material to you.

What sets Jewelry by Johan’s memorial jewelry apart?

Jewelry by Johan was founded in 2008 in Oakdale, Minnesota, and in 2009 we pioneered ash-inlay memorial jewelry: founder Johan Rust developed a way to set cremation ashes permanently into a ring instead of relying on capsule-style designs.

Every memorial piece, either for a person or a pet, is handcrafted in our Minnesota workshop, sealed with a protective waterproof coating, and covered by our lifetime craftsmanship warranty. Any unused ashes are always returned. With more than 200,000 customers served worldwide, we treat every memorial with the care it deserves.

Can Jewelry by Johan jewelry be customized beyond engraving?

Yes. In addition to engraving, any style can be fully customized such as alternative metals, wood inlays, finishes, widths, or gemstones. You can click "Customize this item" in any listing to ask for any changes to it that you'd like, then we'll send you a quote (with a mockup image, upon request)

Are Jewelry by Johan rings handmade?

Each ring begins with raw materials in our Minnesota workshop, shaped by skilled hands. This human touch ensures subtle variations that make every piece truly one-of-a-kind, with attention to detail that factory production simply cannot match.

Can I customize my wedding band?

Yes! Many of our women’s wedding bands are fully customizable. You can select the metal, inlay, stones, and even add personal engravings to create a ring that’s truly one-of-a-kind.
