Can antler rings get wet?

Antler rings and jewelry are naturally water-resistant but not completely waterproof. Occasional exposure to water is unlikely to harm the ring, but prolonged contact—such as swimming, showering, or sauna use—can soften the surface and lead to scratches or discoloration. To maintain the ring's longevity and appearance, it’s best to remove it during water-intensive activities and clean it with a damp cloth when needed. 

To further protect antler, we apply our proprietary Ring Armor Waterproofing to all antler and wood surfaces, which strengthens and shields the antler material.

Can I send in my own antler for my ring?

Absolutely! At Jewelry by Johan, we handcraft all of our antler jewelry and would be thrilled to use your antler sample in your ring. 

Where do you get your antlers?

All of Jewelry by Johan's antler jewelry is made with naturally-shed deer antler. These antlers fall off seasonally, without harming the animal.
