When you order this along with a ring, your ring is placed on hold until you confirm your size, so nothing is crafted until the fit is right.

The kit gives you a starting size. Here's the process:

1. Order the kit with your ring. With any made-to-order ring, the full sizing program (kit + custom sizer) is added to your cart automatically.
2. Measure at home. Your kit arrives in 1-2 business days with instructions.
3. Send us your size using our ring size confirmation form.

What happens next depends on how wide your ring is:

• 4 mm or narrower: your size is all we need, and we begin crafting.
• Wider than 4 mm: we craft a custom sizer in that size and your ring's exact width. Wear it for a day to confirm the real fit, then we craft your ring to match.

Rings 4 mm wide or narrower: The kit on its own is enough. That covers most engagement rings and thin wedding bands. 99% of customers in this range land on their exact size with the kit alone.

Rings wider than 4 mm: Wide bands sit differently on your finger than narrow ones, so the kit's number is a starting point rather than a final answer. We use that estimate to craft a custom sizer in your ring's exact width, and wearing that sizer is what confirms your size. Those two steps together are the full sizing program.

In-stock rings: These are already made, so no sizing tools are added for you. You're welcome to order the kit or the full program first if you'd like to check your size before buying.

Tips on getting your ring sized properly →

Wear it for a full day. Your finger changes size throughout the day based on temperature, activity, and diet. Wearing your sizer for 24+ hours (including sleep) gives you a much more accurate read than trying it on once.

Know your finger shape. If your finger tapers without a prominent knuckle, the ring should fit snugly at the base (you should be able to slide a small gap under the top of the ring). If you have a larger knuckle, a well-fitting ring will slide on with ease and have a slight pull when coming off. Twisting it 1-2 times to remove is completely normal.
