At Jewelry By Johan, we understand the deep emotional significance of memorial jewelry. Rest assured, your supplied cremains will be treated with the utmost care and respect before we handcraft your item.
Providing Ashes: For ashes, we will need a minimum of two tablespoons (30 grams). To ensure safe handling, please place the ashes inside two Ziploc bags and then place the bags inside a sealed plastic container.
Providing Pet Fur: If you're providing fur for a pet memorial item, please provide at least one handful. Any extra fur will be returned to you.
Important Steps to Follow:
- Request an RGA or Order Number: Before sending in your memorial items, please visit Sending JBJ an Item for Custom Work to obtain a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) or Order number. This will help us track your materials accurately.

Shipping Instructions:
- Remains (Human or Animal): Must be shipped via USPS PRIORITY MAIL EXPRESS with SIGNATURE DELIVERY. You can read more about this requirement on the USPS website.
- Cremated Remains Shipping Supplies: Order free cremated remains shipping supplies from The Postal Store.
- Labeling: The outside of the box must be prominently labeled "Cremated Remains Label 139" on all sides that don't bear the shipping label.
