This 14K gold Moissanite by Charles & Colvard halo engagement ring features a 6.5 mm round moissanite center stone in a four prong setting. The center stone is surrounded by a halo of 1.3 mm moissanites, which also accent the shoulders. There is 1.3ct total diamond equivalent weight. What Is A Moissanite?
Moissanite is a rare, naturally occurring mineral also known as silicon carbide. It was first discovered by a chemist, Dr. Henri Moissan, at the site of a massive meteorite strike in Arizona. It was deemed “moissanite” in his honor. Charles & Colvard's lab-created (man-made with the same chemical composition as created in nature) moissanite gemstones rival any natural gemstone for fire and brilliance, including the diamond.
