Our wood rings are stabilized and sealed to enhance strength and protect against daily wear. However, because wood is still a natural material, it’s best to avoid prolonged water exposure, harsh chemicals, and heavy impacts to maintain its beauty and longevity.

Can I send my own wood (whiskey barrel, heirloom, etc.)?

Yes, you’re welcome to send your own piece of wood for a custom ring, and we love personalized materials with sentimental value.

Are Wood Rings Waterproof?

No—our wood rings are water-resistant, not waterproof. Each ring is stabilized, sealed, and protected with Ring Armor, but to maintain its beauty, avoid prolonged water exposure, such as swimming, hot tubs, dishwashing, or saunas.

What Is Ring Armor?

Ring Armor is a waterproofing treatment applied to select ring materials. It features a Shore D durometer hardness of 90, providing exceptional durability.

Its primary purposes are:

  • Prevents inlays from swelling, drying out, and cracking.
Can Wood Be Refinished?

Yes. We offer a refresh service to clean, reseal, and restore the luster of your wood ring, depending on the condition of the wood beneath the coating. Additionally, our Ring Armor Coating Repair is free if the protective coating becomes scratched.
